We play soccer every wednesday night. Its always fun. Luca is a member of the Ringleaders FC. After 2 hours of soccer , we are always hungry. So we decided to hit up Buns. What is Buns? Its literally a whole in a wall burger joint corner Ste-Catherine and St-Mathieu. Its probably the best burger I had in the city.

He gave us classics like Lethal Weapon & Mad Max, directed historical movies like Braveheart, Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto. Mel Gibson is back with a movie that is about the love for his child and finding the truth...THE EDGE OF DARKNESS. A conspiracy type-ish movie. Involves the government, private research groups, political-thriller...It is a remake of a 6-hour miniseries on BBC in 1985.  I saw this last night at the theater it was pretty good...Mel Gibson hasn't lost his acting touch and is still on point.

In the year since Vibe Magazine published the article The Battle for J Dilla's Legacy, exposing the behind-the-scenes disaster of the J Dilla estate, many positive changes have taken place.  J Dilla's heirs are today announcing a victory in this ‘battle' with new estate administrator, and the launch of the website j-dilla.com which will officially represent J Dilla and serve as a contact for anyone wishing to do business with the artist's name and music.

Stones Throw is proud to be involved in two projects with the J Dilla estate:  a Stussy x Dilla tee, and a music release with Serato.  Details about each project will be posted here in coming weeks.

Separately, plans have been announced for the newly established J Dilla Foundation, who have filed for tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit charitable institution to help fund the development of music in the inner city and provide scholarships to students enrolled at schools with progressive music curricula.

Everyone has heard the sounds of DJ and producer Flying Lotus. If you slept through his ridiculously well reviewed 2008 album Los Angeles, then you've at least heard his catchy, ambient stylings segue between episodes of Adult Swim cartoons. But the only way to really hear Flying Lotus' music is to catch his show. After all, FlyLo, as he is known by fans, incorporates new material into time-tested favorites when he plays. “It's so fun to present these ideas and surprise [myself and the crowd],” Flying Lotus says. “Wow, I didn't know you could flip this thing like this to make it sound like that.” Plus, a FlyLo show is a physical experience. Forgetting his inhibitions when he steps behind the decks, FlyLo moves his whole body along with his beats. “I'm not one of those kinds of dudes that's like too cool, I still like to have fun when I go out. I'm a fan of music.”

After a year of surfacing here and there at quickstrike and tier zero accounts around the world, the Nike Air Zoom Toki needs no more introduction, the familiar style has just been released in a new colorway. Offered in a gray suede, these are good when the snow starts to melt...which is nice because, from what I can see, the snow IS melting.

The second is a classic Air Max 1 available in an Orange/Gray/White.

Here is the 3rd installment of the What Up Gangstars capsules. This time its about the Fixed Gear Culture. We can see a special appearance by our homie Sylvestre from the Brakeless bike shop. Even our own boss Harry Drakopoulous is in it showing off his Ringleaders Bike. Also enjoyed the good comparison of a fixie vs a bixi with Barty Bart from 123Klan agency...The streets are cleared from snow, we can pull out our bikes if it keeps being like this. Check it out!
